The role:

  • BOA Group is seeking to appoint a Vice Principal, working alongside the wider staff and leaders to provide excellence across the Group. The role will be primarily based at BOA Digital Technologies Academy with travel to other BOA locations as required.
  • The Vice Principal is accountable to the Principal for ensuring the educational success of the Academy within the overall framework of the Trust’s strategic plan as well as the individual Academy’s Development Plan (ADP).
  • The Vice Principal is accountable for supporting the Principal to develop and ensure the quality of curriculum offer, the internal organisation, operational management and for supervision over teaching and support staff.
  • He/she should create a culture of constant improvement within a collaborative professional learning environment and be an inspirational leader, committed to the highest achievement for all in every area of the Academy’s work.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, confident and enthusiastic teacher to plan, prepare and deliver outstanding lessons within our Maths Department. The department has strength in depth within leadership and teachers and all new staff to this department have made an excellent start to their teaching careers. This appointment is crucial to the growth of the academic and specialist sides of the curriculum. There are plenty of opportunities to work alongside all our departments with the digital specialism.

You will encourage a climate of mutual support in which self-confidence and self-esteem can grow and an effective department team is established and nurtured. 

The role is suitable to either an ECT or experienced teacher. A full induction package and CPD opportunities are offered to help develop your teaching practice. UPS is available for a suitably qualified colleague and a TLR available for a colleague with the right experience. This would be negotiated upon appointment.
