Leadership Team

principal

BOA Digital Technologies Academy is seeking an exceptional leader to take the helm as Principal at this dynamic and rapidly growing school in the heart of Birmingham’s creative quarter and education hub.

This is not just another leadership role — it’s a rare opportunity to shape a pioneering institution as it welcomes its first Key Stage 4 students and lays the foundations for a brand-new sixth form opening in 2027.

Can you inspire the next generation of digital innovators? Do you have the vision, drive, and passion to steer a specialist academy into the future? If you're excited by the chance to work alongside some of the most forward-thinking minds in education, within a Trust that champions excellence, creativity, and collaboration — then this could be your moment.

The Role:

This is a unique opportunity to shape a new generation of digital pioneers, providing bold, strategic leadership that will define the next phase of the Academy’s development. Based primarily at our state-of-the-art campus in central Birmingham, with collaboration across other BOA sites, the Principal will be instrumental in driving forward our mission to deliver world-class, future-ready learning.

As Principal, you will be the driving force behind the Academy’s educational excellence and operational innovation, reporting to the CEO, the Local Governing Body, and the Trust Board.

You’ll lead with clarity, passion, and purpose — overseeing curriculum innovation, inspiring high-performing teams, and cultivating a culture of creativity, ambition, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will ensure students are not only academically successful but equipped with the digital skills and mindset to thrive in tomorrow’s world.

If you share our bold vision, embrace the possibilities of digital learning, and are ready to lead with passion and purpose — we would be thrilled to hear from you.

How to apply:

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds who meet the requirements of the person specification.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance. All offers are subject to satisfactory references, enhanced DBS checks and successful completion of a contractual probationary period.
